Restaurant business cards: 24 designs you can finish free
Every card below is a layout you can open, change and download in a few minutes. No account, no paid tier, and the export is a print-ready PDF your printer will accept without asking you to fix it.
Both sides, because half your card is the back
Every template gallery shows you a front. The back is where the address, the hours and the QR live — the half that decides whether anyone actually arrives. Six of the designs above, opened out.
What actually goes on a restaurant business card
Five things, in this order of importance:
- The name, big enough to read across a table.
- What you cook. Two or three words. "Traiteur · Événements" tells someone more than "Restaurant" does.
- One phone number. One.
- Where you are. A street and a city. People lose cards for places they cannot find.
- The handle people check. For most food businesses that is Instagram or WhatsApp, not email.
The one-number rule. A caterer asked us this: he had three numbers — a work line, his own, and his mother's, who takes the orders. Should each get a card?
No. Three numbers on one card means the customer picks at random and two thirds of the time picks wrong. Put the business number on the front. If a second number genuinely takes orders, put it on the back with a label beside it — Commandes: 06 … — so the reader knows why there are two. An unlabelled personal number just looks disorganised.
What to leave off: your full menu, a QR that opens your own Instagram profile, a slogan, and a second logo. A card is a doorway, not a website.
Front and back: what belongs where
| Front | Back |
|---|---|
| Name and logo | Street address and city |
| What you cook, in 2–3 words | Opening hours, if they are fixed |
| One phone number | A second number, labelled |
| A QR code | |
| Instagram or WhatsApp |
Point the QR somewhere useful
Send it to your ordering page, your menu, or your location on Maps. Not to your Instagram profile — someone holding your card will find you there anyway. The QR is for the thing they cannot do from a piece of card.
Loyalty card or business card — which does a restaurant need?
| Business card | Loyalty card | |
|---|---|---|
| For | A first hello | The eighth visit |
| Given to | Suppliers, event clients, anyone who asks | Regulars, at the counter |
| Job | Be findable later | Give a reason to come back |
| Ends up | In a wallet or a bin | In a wallet, with a count on it |
If you have a counter and people who come more than once, the loyalty card earns more. A free coffee every ninth visit costs you one coffee and buys eight. See how a loyalty card works for cafés and small shops →
Sizes, and the one your printer will ask for
| Size | Measurement | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Business card, EU | 85 × 55 mm | The default in Morocco and Europe |
| Business card, US | 3.5 × 2 in | North American clients and suppliers |
| Card / wallet | 85.6 × 54 mm | Loyalty cards — the shape of a bank card |
| Square | 55 × 55 mm | Stands out in a stack; costs more to cut |
Bleed, and why a file comes back
Printers cut through a stack of cards at once and the blade moves by a fraction of a millimetre. If your background stops exactly at the edge of the card, some cards come out with a thin white line down one side.
Bleed is 3 mm of extra background past the cut line, so the blade always lands on colour. It is the most common reason a print shop sends a file back, and it is the reason a free PNG from a stock site usually will not do.
Cardplume exports a print-ready PDF with bleed included. You do not pay for it and you do not need to know what to ask for.
Make yours in four minutes
- Open the studio. No account, no plan to pick.
- Choose a size. EU business card for most Moroccan printers.
- Pick a design and recolour it. Match your sign, not a trend.
- Upload your logo. PNG or SVG, top left.
- Fill the back. Address, hours, QR, labelled second number.
- Export the PDF. Bleed is already in it. Send that file straight to your printer.

What info goes on a business card?
Your name, what you do, one phone number, your address and one social handle. For a restaurant, "what you do" means the kind of food — two or three words. Anything past that competes with the things people actually need, and a crowded card gets read as a busy one.
Do business cards need an address?
A restaurant card does. People keep your card because they intend to come back, and they cannot come back to a phone number. Put the street and city on the back. A business that visits clients rather than receiving them can leave the address off.
What do business cards have on them?
A front with the name, the trade and one contact, and a back with address, hours, a QR code and a social handle. Most cards use only the front, which wastes half the surface you already paid to print.
What to add to a business card for a restaurant?
Opening hours and a QR code pointing at your menu or ordering page. Hours answer the question that makes someone put your card down, and the QR gives them something to do with the card that a phone number does not.
How many business cards do I need?
For a single restaurant, 250 is usually a year's worth at the counter. Order fewer than you are tempted to. Details change, and a box of 1,000 cards with last year's phone number on them is money spent on paper you cannot use.
Can I have a business card without a business?
Yes. Nothing on a card requires a registered company — a caterer working from home, a market stall or a supper club can all use one. If you have no company name, use your own name and describe what you cook underneath it.
What is a good business card?
One that a person can act on. It is readable at arm's length, carries one obvious way to reach you, and tells someone where you are. Paper weight and finish matter far less than whether the information on it is right.
Where can I create business cards for free?
In the Cardplume studio, in your browser. There is no account to make, no plan to choose and no watermark on the export, and the print-ready PDF includes bleed so a print shop can use the file as it is.
